br>i was browsing an online classified ads site looking for a potential buyer for my phone and i chanced upon this posting.
these are the people that don't deserve to own pets. sure he has reasons for doing this, but looking at the ad, it just sent the wrong message.
if the dog could talk, i wonder what things she would say to the owner.

when i was a kid whenever i wanted to buy something my parents would always tell me to do two things: 1) pray and 2) save up for it. the praying is all easy but it's the saving part that takes a while to do. in order to save, i'd have those piggy banks made of porcelain and everyday i put what remains from my allowance to save up.
fast forward to 2008, i noticed that i have loose change on my cabinet and table in the office, when i empty my pockets, inside my bags, under the bed and in ever corner of my room. so i did a little experiment and collected my five and ten peso coins and see how much i'd save up. in a week, i saved Php110. multiply that by four (weeks) and it's projected to Php440 in a month. in a year's time, that's projected to around Php5280. not bad considering that these are just loose change that we forget about.
it's never too late to go back to your fundamentals of saving money. times are hard and it's best to prepare no matter how little the amount. tomorrow i'm heading to the store to buy those big colorful piggy banks that are made of plastic. after filling it up, i may end up buying myself a dslr. *wink* *wink*

10:49am: i stare on the computer screen. i know there are things scheduled to do for today but i can't figure out how to do them or what to prioritize. things are blurry and not in focus. maybe it's just plain laziness or i have a cluttered lazy head. just take a look at my desktop screenshot.
nine days after the start of the year and slowly wasting away.
happy new year!

i'ved always remained a paper and pencil guy even when pda's, smartphones and other portable writing devices have dominated the so-called electronic age. and being a loyal follower of the paper and pencil movement, i've been wanting to get hold of a particular brand of notebooks i've seen being sold everywhere but here. these were expensive notebooks plus they were not available here until recently. i first heard about them when i was just a lowly lurker at the philmug forums during my pre-mac crossover years. i really didn't have an idea what made them so appealing, but after browsing the official website, http://www.moleskine.com, i just wanted to have one.
so today i finally got one! it did cost me and by far it's the most expensive notebook i have but good news to notebook fantics out there, i got it from a local importer. i initially intended to buy the classic ruled large size but i ended up getting the classic squared large size notebook instead. the squares appeal to me much like a graphing paper or a notebook i had in school for math class. according to the label, these are the legendary notebooks of hemmingway, picasso and chatwin (err). the squared notebook is 13 x 21 cm with 240 pages of acid-free paper and an expandable inner pocket.
to those who want one, moleskine notebooks can be ordered locally from moleskine philippines.

i know it's been a long while since i last had updates on this blog. there will be a much awaited needed repairs starting this weekend. i'll be in the process of revamping key functionalities in this blog site.
i'll start by addressing some performance issues during pageload when using the internet explorer browser. some errors are encountered in ie that do not manifest in other browsers of which are security access restrictions in nature. second, i'll see if updates on the rss feeds can be applied at this time. third, i'll verify if the numerous javascript codes embedded are still functioning and if there are ones that need to be removed. and lastly, though the user interface would still be the same; links would be updated but will basically maintain the overall feel of the page.
my limited knowledge on these things is put to the challenge once again! =P
