Her sister was also sick, fever and sore throat, her brother had a low grade fever and ached all over. I wasn't the best either, sore throat and fever. There must be something going around, her father even got hot last night. - hahaha, telenovela... bow. Makuwento siya ha...

blogger.definition

the person sitting next to my workstation saw me blogging like it's a bad thing! so i spent the next 5 minutes explaining to him the whole concept behind it when i should have been blogging instead. then he suddenly asked for the definition of blogger. WTF is the meaning of blogger?! anyway, with so much eagerness i logged on to www.m-w.com only to find out it's not a valid word. my hiphop eavesdropping good for nothing officemate who started all this suggested me looking for the meaning in urbandictionary.com. okay, so this is the definition that i got: they have 2.

blogger

n. ego-boosting wannabee exhibitionist

a blogger is a frustrated writer who now types away every night in the hopes that some bored, fucked up sap on the internet will come across his/her penned jewel and become a loyal follower forever, going to such lengths as worshiping the blogger to submission.

I was bored, lonely and depresed and then I met my blogger!

WTF?! any other definitions perhaps?

i.am.gandalf

What LoTR Character Are You?

You are most like Gandalf. You are very smart for your age, but don't get too proud. With that great brain of yours, you have a tendency to over-analyze stuff. Life isn't as difficult as you think it is. You have a great sense of responsibility to care for others, and that's good! Just make sure you don't neglect yourself in the process.

merry.holiday.events

i left work around 5pm and went to a noche buena dinner with richard at dulcinea. what i can't comprehend with my tiny brain is that we ordered calamares for appetizer and arroz valenciana, our main dish. shetness...it was good for two but it looked like it was for 3 people. after 2 helpings of the rice dish, i couldn't have more.

while waiting for the food to arrive (which took forever by the way), my crazy friend decided to open his gifts and enticed me to do the same. so in the middle of dulcinea we started ripping the christmas wrappers and the fancy bows that came with it. we were making a scene and were laughing our asses out that anyone in there would wanna utter, "...walang breeding 'tong mga putang 'to!". we started making lewd comments on some of the gifts up until i became cluelessly ruthless and started making fun of his boring gifts. and we found it hilariously funny by the way. i really couldn't pretend not to be a vicious person all this time. christmas still rulz though!

the best gift i got so far was a black leather tri-fold wallet from bass. nice...really nice. i could put so many cards in it making it more of a card wallet rather than something to hold cash...jeez. i'm just referring to my gifts from work. my gifts from my highschool buds is worth another blog entry which will sure follow.

so i got home around 7pm stuffed and tired...did an express wrap of my gifts for my family and a couple more for people at work. i still managed to catch csi las vegas on tv before i decided to slumber away to la-la land.

christmas.lunch

it was so pathetic that my friend and i ended up having christmas lunch in mc donald's paseo. and to think it's christmas eve and i wanted something more than an upsized sprite and quarterpounder with large fries. anyway, most food stalls and restos were closed for the holidays so that was it!

this day isn't so busy afterall. a very slow day to say the very least. calls are slowly coming in hence there aren't much calls being transferred to our marshal queue. i tried working on this blog site specifically the archive folders. so far, so good! nothing fancy but at least i get to out up my old blogs available for everyone to read or backtrack.

11:32am...still about 3 hours more before we logout. and i need to stay for an hour or two more to upload today's work. this day is essentially boring.

DanieL | 12/24/2003 11:29:00 AM |

Today I got a spam email from my TL. I thought I'd post it on my blog. Cheesy, but who cares anyway?

keeping.christmas

It is a good thing to observe Christmas Day. The

mere marking of times

and seasons when men agree to stop work and make

merry together, is a

wise and wholesome custom. It helps one to feel the

supremacy of the

common life over the individual life. It reminds a

man to set his own

little watch, now and then, by the great clock of

humanity which runs on

sun time.

But there is a better thing than the observance of

Christmas Day, and

this is, keeping Christmas.

Are you willing to forget what you have done for

other people, and to

remember what other people have done for you; to

ignore what the world

owes you, and to think what you owe the world; to

put your rights in the

background, and your duties in the middle distance,

and your chances to

do a little more than your duty in the foreground;

to see that your

fellowmen are just as real as you are, and to try to

look behind their

faces to their hearts, hungry for joy; to own that

probably the only

good reason for your existence is not what you are

going to get out of

life, but what you are going to give to life; to

close your book of

complaints against the management of the universe,

and look around you

for a place where you can sow a few seeds of

happiness--- are you

willing to do these things even for a day? Then you

can keep Christmas.

Are you willing to stoop down and consider the needs

and the desires of

little children; to remember the weakness and

loneliness of people who

are growing old; to stop asking how much your

friends love you, and ask

yourself whether you love them enough; to bear in

mind the things that

other people have to bear in their hearts; to try to

understand what

those who live in the same house with you really

want, without waiting

for them to tell you; to trim your lamp so that it

will give more light

and less smoke, and to carry it in front so that

your shadow will fall

behind you; to make a grave for your ugly thoughts,

and a garden for

your kindly feelings, with the gate open--- are you

willing to do these

things even for a day? Then you can keep Christmas.

Are you willing to believe that love is the

strongest thing in the

world--- stronger than hate, stronger than evil,

stronger than death?

Then you can keep Christmas.

And if you can keep it for a day, why not always?

(from the Essays of Henry Van Dyke, published in
1905)

shetness.blog

here's a copy of a loser email i sent nikki. it's really pathetic...life is anyway.

Dear Friend,

Masarap pala siya in fairness.

12:30pm pa lang...2 hours pa bago mag-log-out. Naiinip na ako. Shetness...

freezer.cold

quietly typing away in an isolated room that seats 16 people, waiting for calls to be transferred for spoiled customers to be pampered and made to feel important, appreciated and valued. in other words, kissing their asses! not even half of the team occupy this room since most pc's don't have the software we need. it is bitterly cold in here. as i look at the digital airconditioning temperature console, it seems that it's steadily frozen at 19 degrees. this is torture...and what sucks is that it's locked internally and cannot be adjusted with all its artsy-fartsy buttons to have a warmer temperature. it just makes you wanna smash the controls by punching the device itself on the wall.

at least this office space has it's own radio so we get to listen to john mayer, paolo "payatot" santos and other artists all day which is a good thing to keep us sane for now. oh, it's logout time! time to go home for the weekend!

.petics

i was reading through nikki's blog and we had the same problem at work as well. our avaya phones just decided to die. no calls coming in, and no one can call out to report the issue to the other call center. when i started my shift, systems were still down and people had more time to stretch, run to the pantry and horse around. as for me and my team, we had to crash the finance department's systems with working phonelines.

just as i thought, good things had to come to an end.

not.blogging.lately

i had not been blogging lately...i envy nikki who blogs tirelessly and has a new entry every time i log to her site. geeez....it seems that there are so many happenings in her life lately.

i want an iPod for christmas. i think that's too late now. first, no one would be in or her right mind and will buy me that gadget. second, i can't afford that this time of the year.
oh well...we'll see. i'd like it if i'd get to buy the iBook as well....

gad, i'm not yet through with shopping. life sucks sometimes...

i've heard about our christmas party theme this year. it will be fiero carnaval mardi gras style. oh no! oh yes! more pictures to come!

my mind is so cluttered right now...which is normal!

kiss.the.rain

on my way home today from work, i was listening to Billie Myers' song, "kiss the rain" from my Sony Clie. this time i had the chance to really understand the words more than the catchy tune itself. this is what i think about the song: it's all about being horny, unfaithful and suggestions on appropriately dealing with it...well more or less.

Hello...

Can you hear me

Am I getting through to you

Hello...

Is it late there

Is there laughter on the line

Are you sure you're there alone

cues I'm

trying to explain

something wrong

You just don't sound the same

Why don't you

Why don't you

Go outside

Go outside

Kiss the rain

Whenever you need me

Kiss the rain

Whenever I'm gone too long

If your lips feel lonely and thirsty

Kiss the rain

And wait for the dawn

Keep in mind

We're under the same sky

And the night's

As empty for me as for you

If you feel

You can't wait till morning

Kiss the rain

Kiss the rain

Kiss the rain

Hello...

Do you miss me

I hear you say you do

but not the way I'm missing you

What's new

How's the weather

Is it stormy where you are

You sound so close but it feels like you're so far

Oh would it mean anything

If you knew

What I'm left imagining

In my mind

My mind

Would you go

Would you go

Kiss the rain
A

As you fall

Over me

Think of me

Think of me

Think of me

Only me

Kiss the rain

Whenever you need me

Kiss the rain

Whenever I'm gone too long

If your lips

Feel hungry and tempted

Kiss the rain

And wait for the dawn

Keep in mind

We're under the same sky

And the night's

As empty for me as for you

If you feel you can't wait till morning

Kiss the rain

Kiss the rain

Kiss the rain

Kiss the rain

(Kiss the rain)

Kiss the rain)

(Kiss the rain)

Hello...

Can you hear me

Can you hear me

Can you hear me

i like the phonebooth video while there was a downpour. it's in b&w and has a more artistic appeal to it. the other version that came out was the artist running amok in her bedroom and turned things upside down. though she made her point there, it was a bit violent in nature. with the original video, there was more drama with the pouring rain and being stranded inside a phonebooth...helpless. the succeeding video could have been what she turned out to be after. *LOL*

uneventful.wednesday

this sucks...big time! drrr!

i wanted it so bad to be the end of the work week already. as i was sipping caramel machhiato i was bouncing over thoughts in my head on so many things: how can i do an ip trace for a friend? can i still remove the sinigang stain from my favorite kahki pants? are we going to fold by year-end? and of course, work itself. my head was a total mess today and i was often dazed and confused. maybe because i didn't get to sleep straight last night. maybe it's because i had so much coffee for the day. maybe it's just maybe.

i wish i'd have a better day tomorrow.

christmassy.monday

i have so many things in mind right now, one of which is that how in the world will i get to put up all the christmas lights by today? i don't even have a freakin' ladder to painstakingly glue all lights to make an outline of the facade of the house. tsk, tsk, tsk. and i have to do all that today that i don't have work. grrr!

maybe when i'm all done with this, i'd take a picture of it and post it here in my blog. maybe i would!

nikki and I went to this christmas bazaar yesterday. gad i'm glad i was able to start with my christmas shopping already. i still have a long way to go but at least i'd started already. i think with nikki, she ended up buying more stuff than the people in her list.

my.dog.chuckie

here's a picture of him by the carport on a sunny morning. he likes chasing cats, small animals and tiny creatures. he loves to sleep and make the lives of the people in the house a living hell with his antics. he's a one year old pain in the behind dog and at his age, very playful like a kid!

here's another picture of chuckie! no, humping the porch is not one of his pastimes but he enjoys cooling off this way.
