perfect.friday
here's how i intend to spend my day tomorrow given that everything will go as planned...
2:40am: wake-up time! only to set the alarm clock and the cellphone alarm clock in snooze mode so i can sleep for 20 more minutes.
4:00am: 20 minutes seemed forever-- get up from bed, prepare clothes to wear for work. bring gym clothes as well. stuff it all in my backpack.
4:30am: jump to the shower and take a warm bath.
4:50am: off to work. i, the ultimate professional cab passenger remains a martyr and lets cab drivers get even with me with all of their modus operandi tactics and tampered cab meters. SH*T!
5:40am: report to work. look for my sparring partner, our team L2 and sneak out of the office and go to the gym. **NOTE TO SELF: would it be technically sneaking out of the office if we don't have work tomorrow because it's thanksgiving? nonetheless we have to go to work and render OT to work on our respective team tasks...and that is after working out.
8:40am: Starbucks time! One tall hot caramel macchiato. Three sachets of brown sugar, three pieces of table napkin, one plastic stirrer TO-GO!
rest of the day: insignificant activities taking place in the workplace.
11:00am: 2cups of white rice, sizzling spare ribs and Sprite with lots of ice. i prefer having lunch before the orcs at work flock to our quaint cafeteria, The Patio. the courtyard is a personal favorite.
12nn till the remaining hours of the afternoon: work again, chit-chat, pretend to be doing more work.
3:00pm: go to GB3 to make it to the 3:45pm screening of 'under the tuscan sun'.
6:00pm: go home.
i was reading my friend nikki's blog regarding chapped lips because it's that time of the year again for chappy lips. i openly admit that i have this nasty habit of peeling chapped skin on my lips. i take delight in making sure i peel a big chunk of skin from my upper or lower lip. and i'm doing it right now as i write this blog. it doesn't matter...as long as it's a big piece! i do apply chapstick on my lips especially this time of the year but i wouldn't let a day pass to peel some of those flaky skin to reveal a new layer to be peeled again tomorrow. i know it's gross for many...but believe me it feels good doing it. but let me remind you that it's also dangerous because it can cause your lips to crack and bleed if you peel too deep. so take extra care when doing it. afterwhich, don't forget to apply your chapstick, petroleum jelly or whatever have you/ whatever brand and to re-apply every now and then.
happy chapping everyone!

anyone who can tell me what this book is all about?
i had been contemplating if i should buy this book. i don't know what this is all about. i heard oprah endorsing people to read it. but is it any good? if it's another of those self-help books, it's not a good buy for me. i am avoiding the exact types of books. if it's somewhat inspiring like the little prince and the alchemist, i should stay away still. not another book to make me realize how pathetic i'm living life at least not according to what the author deemed rightful anyway.
nothing much happened to my insignificant life here on earth today. i just went to work and hurried to go back home to blog and check on emails and all that. now i'm sleepy and need to be up by 3am to be in the office by 6am. what a sick cycle carousel. tomorrow marks the end of ramadhan but so what? we have work anyway...+150% pay! whippeeee! that's a good thing.
from one holiday to another. thursday is thanksgiving day! happy thanksgiving in advance, people! i wonder if i'd be able to be in that great company thanksgiving dinner we have year after year. i hope...
friday is payday once again. most of which will go to my utilities and credit card bills. oh well, cest la vie! at least most of it would remain for chirstmas shopping. which reminds me that i still haven't come up with a christmas list. yikes! a perfect recipe for disaster. i managed to salvage my christmas last year juggling through work, shopping and wrapping gists. this year i ought to be better with this. hehehehehe.

aside from that, I had updated my friendster thingee. added more people, modified my profile and all that. i posted some testimonies for some friends of mine. nothing mushy, just plain nice things about these people. also, read my email. it had been like 2 weeks since i last logged on to my personal email account. emails have really piled up and i replied to most of it.
now with this blooger site...i know i had to work on it as well. for now, everything is so bare. i have put up a comments tag that seem to be not working right. i've managed to work on that and added more links as well. everything seems to be okay so far. and i'm happy.

Now that's halloween's over we now prepare for me the most important time of the year...CHRISTMAS! Well not exactly, we still have Thanksgiving but it's only for one day and that's it. But for Christmas, it's one whole season of celebration that starts mid-December to early January and the preparations start now. We've always heard them say that, "preparation is everything" and hence I can't wait to start fancy-ing up our house for the Yultide.
Will it be silver, gold, multi-colored or blue this and that? Maybe I shouldn't put up balls this year in our garland throughout the house. But for one thing, tiny lights will be all over. I'm not yet sure if I'd add up more decors but for sure that will all depend if I have time for a major makeover to happen.
And the gifts! Who has time to do all that Christmas shopping? I haven't even started with my list...and it will take me again forever to think of what, where and when to buy. It's a given that resources are there but it's the time element that sucks you back and cram to the last minute of the season. It's always like this, year-in and year-out.
