last friday, the first batch of tl's and l2's left for their short cc4-cebu stint. for a minimum of three months, they'll setup the new office and train new hires and come back if they still want to work here in manila. they brought back home the first wave of cebu employees that were hired. they previously had to be flown to manila to work while the fourth call center building was being constructed in cebu.
i miss my old team. when my tl made the announcement and decided to try things out in cebu, i hardly had any time to get emotional on it. the team i've been with eversince i started in 2002 was disbanded. i recently had been assigned with a new team, with me being their tl. with all these changes happening and the new challenges i've been bumping into along the way, i guess this would be more reason why i miss the old team, when things were a lot simpler then. this was the team i grew up with. the team i laughed and cried with. the team i shared all that i had. the friendships, the comaraderie, the fun and challenging times, i will all treasure.
my tl always told us that in this industry, people come and go. some you'll hardly notice, some you'll dearly remember for how they've touched you. for whatever it's worth, life will still definitely go on and we should never forget to cherish whatever we have time with each other, no matter how short.
people comin' and goin'
this sassy girl spurred my interest when a good friend of mine introduced me to her last year. one thing led to another and i got to know her more and more. a colleague lent me her own vcd and eventually i got my own pirated dvd copy (where else but in greenhills!). for some cosmic nonsense, she keeps me company and dampens my spirits when work gets a bit too toxic. this is what's playing on my dvd player now and i'm talking about the movie, "My Sassy Girl". i don't know her name or anybody else's since obviously everything is in korean. this korean love story is very typical of the formulated movies i love (i'm only speaking for myself), light and unwittingly funny at the same time--very asian. she may not speak a bit of english in the movie but it was subtitled anyway...fair enough, i would say.
i'm painstakingly downloading the soundtrack from ares to be uploaded to my ipod for my listening pleasure. if only my ipod can play video files of the whole movie perhaps, that would be the day. but it won't be long. shortly after i bought my ipod, they came up with the photo ipod. what else is in store for apple? ipod with moving images?

i've hardly noticed it but it seems that i've been slaving myself at work for over five days now. tomorrow would be my sixth day before my long-awaited 2-day weekend off.

iPod I like.
this picture was taken using the canon powershot digital camera. not bad...i like the macro feature in this one. my previous cam did not come with one. i'm enjoying this a lot.
i wonder what else i can take a picture of tomorrow?
